Not the same

I'm not the same person I once was. I've been realizing that lately.

Some big things (to me). Some not so big.

I've changed:
I drink pop. yep. Had 2 Diet Pepsis on Monday. The first one was at 9am and got me through the morning. There was a few years in my life when I didn't have two Diet Pepsis within YEARS. I'm still kind of getting used to it. Part of it is the fact that I'm staying away from sugar. I used to be big on juice and PowerAde, but they're jam-packed with sugar. Diet Pepsi has none!

I eat meat. That sounds weird to me. For about six years I ate none whatsoever. Yep, a full-fledged vegetarian (meat made me sick; it wasn't a choice). I got sick of it, so I started eating chicken about once a month (this was probably two years ago). Then once a week at the most. Then I had turkey at Thanksgiving. (a year and a half ago) Now, I'll eat chicken, turkey, and pork. Still no red meat (still makes me sick), but I love going out to eat again! For many years there were about two things on any menu that I could eat. Grilled cheese and a garden salad.

I love love love to cook. I didn't mind it before, but I wouldn't choose to do it. Now I love cooking, I get excited about it, and I'm on a high during/after cooking. The other night I tried some new things: peppercorn pork tenderloin on the grill, roasted peppers, bruschetta, and red potato salad. YUM!!! I'm proud to say it tasted good, it was filling, and it looked good. My dad asked if I'm trying out for "Top Chef."

I'm late. I used to be punctual -- and didn't have patience for people who were late. Now it's me. Two minutes, five minutes... (sadly) ten minutes. I'm okay with two minutes, getting frustrated with five minutes, and annoyed when I'm ten minutes late. So it's not like I'm okay with being ten minutes late, or let it happen (not too often I hope)... but I've changed.

Yesterday two of my sisters said something about me that made me freak out and imagine what an identity crisis feels like. I'm debating about talking about it, but I'm definitely thinking about it (it's another way I've changed). I might get back to you on this one.

YES there are many ways (I believe) I'm the same. Maybe I'll get to that some day. Not likely, seeing as I get on here less than once a month (sad). we'll see.

In the meantime, my friends and I went camping for three nights over the weekend. AWESOME!

Leanne did a marathon in June!! WAY TO GO LI-LI!! :) Liz and I watched at the finish line for two hours and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Made it to a TIGERS game, and even had sweet seats!

Wedding plans, wedding plans, wedding plans! Michelle and Ed's big day is 17 days away!
