Some more

I'll finish my travel day real quick-like:
Arrive to second airport, procede to run about 2 miles to another terminal (underground, up, down escalators, etc), to find that I missed my original flight. So I had a couple of hours to spare...

Made it back to the home-area airport, with two hours of driving time left. And that's really where I got into the deep thinking. Things like:
what were my goals for myself when I was in high school/college?
Are they coming true?
way back to elementary/middle school -- what were my dreams?
Are any of my dreams coming true?

What have I accomplished?
What are my goals for the next few years?
Should I set goals for my personal or professional life? (or both?)

Made it home in one piece, but it was rough emotionally.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Where I am in my life now, where I thought I would be. Would I change it? Where do I want to be five years from now, how do I make it happen...

I think it's a good thing to stop and reevaluate, keeps you on track.

Karen, don't get yourself down in the dumps though; I agree that it is good to re-evaluate sometimes. Just remember that you have a lot of people who love you and are happy that you are in their lives no matter how long or short ago that you arrived. You are a great friend, and things always work out according to God's plan. There are days when I wonder if this is what I dreamed of or did I miss something. Not that I would even change it if I could just more of a 'what if....' thought that lingers occasionally in the back of my mind.
